We are looking for an AV Lead Technician base in our Puchong office who reports directly to the Installation Manager.
In this role, you will provide technical and installation support for custom audio, video and control system projects. It will be important for you to understand customer requirements and, as part of a project team, ensure that the delivered system fulfills the order expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
What you will be doing?
- Lead and commission mid-level projects with control and/or audio DSP technology.
- Aide the Project Management team in the development of project plans and milestones.
- Execute projects plans within the time constraints specified while adhering to quality standards.
- Lead teams of 6-8 technicians effectively in accordance Standards.
- Load and commission visual and control systems (including: Crestron, Extron, Novastar, Watchout, Aten, etc.).
- Load DSP projects, implement, and configure (DSP includes: QSC, BIAMP, Polycom Sound Structure, ClearOne, Shure, etc.).
- Review, markup, and communicate issues with schematic diagrams and building drawings.
- Train client employees and stakeholders on controlled room systems.
- Display proficiency in the structured cabling of projects which includes: pulling, terminating and testing all cable and wiring associated with audio/video cables.
- Adhere to and follow CAD elevations and system schematics.
- Competently document daily project status reports and deliver/communicate status reports to project management on a daily basis or in a frequency agreed upon by the project team.
- Perform tasks, including rack assembly, equipment placement and equipment mounting, in accordance with CAD elevations and system schematics Standards.
- Complete system cabling & terminations are in accordance with system diagrams & AVIXA standards.
- Provide any other support to ensure Cubexis operates up to standards on a daily basis.
- Follows and maintains proper safety practices in accordance with CIDB, Site safety requirements, and/or Cubexis Standards.

- AVIXA certification or ability to possess within 90 days of hire
- 1+ years of AV industry experience. Fresh Graduate are encourage to apply.
- Audio DSP Certificate preferred
- Ability to travel up to 75%+

Cubexis is looking for a Design Engineer located in Puchong who reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
To be successful in this position you will: Perform Audio, Video and Control engineering functions and/or system programming as required to support the sales, design, installation and delivery of custom audio video systems.
You will work in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure that the contracted scopes of work are performed to the highest possible standards of quality and conform to defined performance requirements. You will also work closely with the fabrication and installation staff to ensure system designs are correctly implemented. It is expected that you will also maintain open lines of communication both within the company and with the client and other contractors.
What you will be doing.
- Supporting the team with Pre and Post-Sales Engineering efforts to ensure quoted systems meet Cubexis expectations.
- Work on CAD to complete drawing deliverables and take ownership of design validation and Q/C of drafting.
- Engineering of Audiovisual systems of various types and producing associated deliverable documentation (Audio DSP, Control Systems, AV Networks, Video Projection, etc.)
- Conduct Site Survey's and participate in client meetings to understand deliverable requirements and intended system functionality.
- Coordinating with clients and guiding them through their Audiovisual technology needs based on intended functionality.
- Respond to client requests for modifications and additions to systems. Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure modifications are tracked and appropriate change orders are generated and executed.
- Identify system design challenges and devise corrective action to mitigate risk.
- Provide labor estimates for Sales Estimation of low to moderate-level projects.
- Work to maintain knowledge of current product lines for various manufacturers.
- Provide training of system operation to client stakeholders and Service team.
- Aide the Project Management team in the development of project plans and milestones.
- Create BOM and AV deliverables, including drawings and other documents which meet Cubexis standards.
- Execute project plans within the time constraints specified while adhering to quality standards.
- Provide any other support to ensure Cubexis operates up to standards on a daily basis.
- Maintain proper safety practices in accordance with CIDB, Site safety requirements, and/or Cubexis Safety Standards.

- Take ownership of Post-Sales programming to meet intended system functionality.
- Program Audiovisual systems of various types to ensure they function as designed in a reliable manner, and meet client expectation (Audio DSP, Control Systems, AV Networks, Video Projection, etc.).
- Produce necessary documentation to meet deliverable expectations related to the configuration and operation of Audiovisual systems.
- Able to attend in client meetings to understand deliverable requirements and intended system functionality.

- Test systems during fabrication and in field installation stages to verify proper operation of equipment and system design.
